# Utility Services Overview

This section provides an overview of the Utility Services

**The Agilit-e Utility Services** can be used in different conditions to provide various services. These services include encoding and decoding of XML, converting HTML to JSON, generating a PDF template, generating Unique Identifiers (UUID) and formatting of Dates and Times.

The important difference between all of the other modules and the Utility Services is that access to the [Agilit-e Admin Portal](https://portal.agilite.io/) **is not required for the Utility Services**, as they *do not need an API Key*, nor do they require a module configuration. Utility Services are services that we at Agilit-e offer to anyone that needs them. Due to this, you will not find any modules in the [Agilit-e Admin Portal](https://portal.agilite.io/) that refer to the Utility Services.
