What Is Zero Knowledge Proof and How Can It Assist Online Privacy & Security?
10 days ago by Nick Ian
I've been reading about _Zero Knowledge Proof_ (ZKP) and its application in blockchain, banking, and online identification. As far as I can tell, ZKP allows an individual to prove that he or she is familiar with specific information (like a password, age, or account balance) without revealing the information itself. This privacy and security revolutionizer is especially needed with heightened concerns regarding data breaches and identity theft.
I'd really appreciate your thoughts:
Do you think ZKP can become mainstream in everyday use cases (e.g., banking apps or government IDs)?
What are the main obstacles to adopting this technology?
Do you see ZKP replacing old authentication methods in the future?
