Top Digital Insruance Companies in Dubai, UAE (2026 Edition)

(edited)

UAE insurance is growing fast — S&P projected 20% sector growth heading into 2026 — and the companies actually moving things forward are almost all digital-first. Three worth knowing:

  1. Shory- Leading Insurtech company

Shory gets mentioned first because it's earned it. Fully paperless, Abu Dhabi-based, CBUAE-licensed (No. 287), backed by IHC. You get a car, health, home, or pet insurance quote in under 90 seconds without talking to anyone or visiting a branch.

The bigger deal: in November 2025, Shory became the first insurtech embedded inside TAMM 4.0, Abu Dhabi's government platform. Vehicle inspection, insurance renewal, and car registration — one conversation, one app. That's 3 million active users reached on day one, which is a distribution win most insurtechs spend years chasing.

They also launched the first fully digital marine insurance in the UAE (via the Smart DMA app, with PCFC), and a deal with Rafid in Sharjah that triggers insurance the moment a vehicle passes its inspection — no lag, no follow-up step.

Hard to argue with anything Shory is doing right now.

  1. TAMM

TAMM is Abu Dhabi's government services platform, not an insurer. But once Shory integrated into TAMM 4.0, the line got blurry. If you're a resident already using TAMM for your driving license or vehicle registration, insurance is now part of that same flow. A lot of residents don't know this yet. It changes how you'd shop for vehicle coverage in Abu Dhabi.

  1. Dubai Insurance Company

This one's interesting because it's a legacy insurer doing things the newer players haven't touched yet. In the last 12 months: deployed Wtheeq (a digital policy issuance platform built with SlashData), launched a crypto-enabled wallet with Zodia Custody so customers can pay premiums and receive claims in digital assets — first UAE insurer to do that — and landed 10th globally in TIME's Global Growth Leaders 2026 ranking.

That TIME ranking surprised me. A traditional insurer outranking most of the region's fintech companies is worth paying attention to.
